PERHAM HOSPITAL OFFERS CAR SEAT SAFETY CLINICS
Certified car seat safety technicians from PMHH will determine if the proper car seat is being used and if the seat is installed correctly. In the occurrence the seat isn’t installed safely, parents will be taught the correct installation procedure. Technicians will also notify parents if a recall has been issued that the parent may not know about and any concerns about the condition or age of the seat that may deem it unsafe. The clinic will be held in New York Mills on Wednesday, May 16, from 3:00 to 6:00 p.m. at the fire hall. In Perham, the clinic will take place on Wednesday, May 23, from 3:00 to 6:00 p.m. at the fire hall. Since each check takes approximately 30 minutes, please call 346-1266 to make an appointment. Parents are asked to bring their child(ren) to the safety check so correct fit of the car seat can be determined. The vehicle and car seat owner's manuals are also needed in order to ensure proper installation of the car seat. The New York Mills Lions Club, Perham Rotary, Dent Lions Club, Perham Jaycees, and Wolf Lake Lions Club are providing support for the clinics. |
