Medical education and training:

 

Dr. Hietala received his medical degree from the University of Minnesota Medical School, Minneapolis, Minn. He completed his residency at the University of North Dakota Family Practice Center in Fargo. He is board certified in family medicine. This means that he has fulfilled the necessary criteria established by the regulating board and has passed examinations that accredit him in the field of family medicine.

 

Off duty interests and activities:

 

Dr. Hietala is married and has four children. In his spare time he enjoys camping, going to the lake and golfing.
