Donald Preussler Ph.D.

Dr. Preussler is doctorate-level trained and specializes in the diagnosis and non-medical treatment of mental health concerns for children and families. Through a variety of techniques including psychological testing, counseling (individual, family or group), and behavioral modification programs, he helps children and families who have emotional, behavioral, and cognitive difficulties address their concerns. Conditions often treated include oppositionality, attention deficit problems, depression, anxiety and adjustment disorders as well as addressing adjustment to medical conditions.

Medical education and training:

Dr. Preussler received his Ph.D. in clinical psychology from the University of North Dakota, Grand Forks. He completed an internship at the University of Texas Medical School, Houston. Dr. Preussler received his master’s of science degree at the University of Texas at Dallas. Prior to joining MeritCare, he worked as a clinical director for the Center for Rural Health in Elburn, Ill.
