Dr. Nelsen received his medical degree fromthe University of North Dakota School of Medicine in Grand Forks and completed his residency at Texas Tech University Health Sciences Center in Lubbock, Texas. He completed his fellowship in sports medicine at the Institute for Bone and Joint Disease in Phoenix, Ariz. He is board certified by the American Board of Orthopaedic Surgery and a member of the American Academy of Orthopaedic Surgeons.
