As people approach their later years, some may find they need assistance following an injury or illness – from getting up and dressed in the morning to help with medications to occupational therapy - to assist with the activities of independent living.
Bringing together the health care services an individual requires to stay independent at home is the purpose of Perham Memorial Home Care. Services are provided 24 hours a day, seven days a week, to persons living within a 30-mile radius of Perham. Being hospital-based allows Perham Memorial Home Care direct access to physicians, specialists, equipment, and medical expertise.
Home Care is an invaluable asset to clients who might otherwise be denied the option of continuing their care outside of a hospital environment. For others, home care is a means for staying home when they would have been moved into a nursing home.
A team of medical experts that includes registered nurses, physical, occupational, and speech therapists, and home health aides, work together with each client and his or her family. Together, they meet the health needs of people who are best served at home.
